Problem mares: Have you ever tried to breed from your mare and she appears normal but just doesn't get in foal? Ask your vet to refer the mare to us as a "problem mare" and we can manage her fertility for the season. Some of the problems we have encountered include blocked oviducts, uterine or cervical adhesions, uterine tumours, pregnancy loss, missing uterine horns and bizarre infections. In one case we have removed a marble from the uterus that had migrated through the uterine horn into the abdominal cavity!
